Sir Alex Younger a rejoint le MI6 en 1991. Il a été affecté en Europe, au Moyen-Orient et en Afghanistan en tant qu’officier opérationnel. En 2009, Sir Alex Younger est devenu le chef du contre-terrorisme, ayant contribué à assurer la sécurité des Jeux Olympiques de Londres en 2012.
