Lord Browne a été le premier à bâtir une entreprise pétrolière via un nombre record de fusions-acquisitions, et le premier à implanter avec succès une grande entreprise du secteur en Russie. Durant son poste à la tête de BP, il a ouvert la voie sur de nombreuses problématiques, telles que le changement climatique, les droits de l’homme, et la transparence en entreprise.
