Lisa Forte a débuté sa carrière dans les services de renseignements anti-piratage, au large des côtes somaliennes. Elle a ensuite été recrutée pour travailler pour les renseignements britanniques au sein d’une agence gouvernementale chargée de lutter contre le terrorisme.
Lisa Forte a étudié le processus de radicalisation en ligne mis en place par les groupes terroristes, ainsi que le déploiement de procédés d’ingénierie sociale à risque, menés par des recruteurs membres d’organisations terroristes.
Lisa Forte a ensuite rejoint l’unité de lutte contre la cybercriminalité de la police britannique, d’où elle a pu étudier la logique et la méthodologie employées par les attaquants.
Cette unité travaillait en étroite collaboration avec des agences telles que le FBI, traquant les actes criminels graves liés à la cybercriminalité.
Les entreprises victimes de ces actes allaient de petites organisations aux multinationales et presque tous les cas impliquaient de l’ingénierie sociale.
En 2017, Lisa Forte a quitté l’unité pour créer sa propre entreprise, « Red Goat Cyber Security », dans le but de mobiliser ses connaissances concernant les techniques et méthodologies utilisées par les pirates informatiques.
« Red Goat Cyber Security » offre l’unique formation d’ingénierie sociale certifiée GCHQ au Royaume-Uni destinée aux employés, ainsi que des exercices de sécurité et de simulation de cyberattaques en ingénierie sociale, afin d’aider les organisations à se préparer à une éventuelle attaque.
