Il est co-fondateur et président de l’association Low-tech Lab, qui œuvre à la découverte et la diffusion en open-source de documentation sur les low-tech.
Depuis 2012, où il rejoint l’ingénieur-aventurier Corentin de Chatelperron au Bangladesh pour mettre au point avec les moyens du bord, Gold of Bengal, premier voilier en composite à base de fibre naturelle de jute, il co-réalise une suite d’explorations et de projets mettant en lumière le potentiel des low-tech pour construire le monde de demain :
