Nell a eu un parcours peu ordinaire. Elle enseigne les sciences de l’informatique à l’âge de 24 ans et co-fonde une compagnie en art du graffiti. Sa capacité à lier les mondes de la technologie et des humanités lui permettent de rendre facilement accessibles pour une large audience des sujets d’ordinaire complexes.
En 2010, Nell Watson fonde Poikos, une machine ‘learning-driven’ disposant d’une intelligence artificielle pour mesures corporelles. Sa technologie brevetée dématérialise le scanner corporel 3D en procurant des scans très précis du corps en 3D grâce à deux caméras, similaires à celle que l’on trouve dans les smartphones ou les ordinateurs portables. Cette technologie peut être utilisée par d’autres marchés tels que la santé et la personnalisation de masse.
Disposant d’une vision à long-terme, Nell Watson travaille en tant que conseillère principale pour la Future Society de Harvard et sert de conseillère en technologie pour plusieurs startups, accélérateurs de startups et fonds de capital-risque.
