Sébastien Foucan est le fondateur et créateur du freerunning, l’art de s’exprimer dans son environnement, sans limitation de mouvement. Il est connu pour ses points de vue sur la philosophie qui a inspiré le freerunning, et est un ambassadeur de cette discipline à travers le monde.
Pendant son enfance dans les années 1980, M. Foucan et ses amis développent un style ludique de franchissement d’obstacles qu’ils appellent « parkour », s’inspirant de la formation militaire , « parcours du combattant ». Plus tard, il développe une forme plus inclusive de parkour qu’il qualifie de « freerunning», avec plus de mouvements acrobatiques. En 2001, Sébastien Foucan chorégraphie, gère et réalise sa première performance de « freerunning», à Francfort , en Allemagne.
Sébastien Foucan devient célèbre au Royaume-Uni après la projection du documentaire de Channel 4, ‘Jump London’ en 2003 et en 2005 de ‘Jump Britain’. Foucan est apparu dans le clip de l’année 2005, ‘ Jump’ de Madonna, et continue de l’accompagner en 2006 sur son ‘ Confessions Tour ‘. C’est aussi en 2006 qu’il fait ses débuts d’acteur, mis en avant comme Mollaka dans le 21e film de James Bond «Casino Royale». Après le succès du film, Sébastien Foucan a joué dans « Le Tournoi » (2009 ), jouant le rôle d’assassin Anton Bogart.
