Cédric O est entrepreneur et ancien secrétaire d’Etat en charge du numérique. Il est cofondateur non exécutif de la startup en IA générative Mistral AI et membre du conseil d’administration d’Artefact, cabinet de conseil spécialisé en data&IA. Il est, par ailleurs, membre du comité national d’experts sur l’intelligence artificielle. Cédric O est diplômé d’HEC en 2006.
Après avoir travaillé pour Dominique Strauss-Kahn puis dans le conseil, Cédric O devient Conseiller du Ministre de l’économie et des Finances Pierre Moscovici entre 2012 et 2014.
De 2014 à 2017, Cédric O travaille pour le groupe Safran, notamment en tant qu’adjoint du Directeur industriel groupe, responsable du projet Usine du Futur puis responsable de production.
Membre fondateur du mouvement En Marche, trésorier de la campagne présidentielle en 2017, Cédric O est conseiller du Président de la République et du Premier Ministre en charge des participations de l’Etat et du numérique entre 2017 et 2019.
En mars 2019, il est nommé Secrétaire d’Etat, en charge de la transition numérique et des communications électronique.
Dans ces fonctions, il supervise la politique d’innovation du gouvernement, l’essor de la French Tech, mais aussi les négociations internationales (G7) et européenne liées à la régulation du numérique. Il a notamment été l’un des artisans des régulations Digital Markets Act et Digital Services Act dans le cadre de la présidence française du Conseil de l’Union Européenne. Il est également en charge de la couverture numérique du territoire et du déploiement de la 5G, ou encore des outils numériques dans le cadre de la gestion de la pandémie, notamment de l’application TousAntiCovid.
En avril 2018, il fait partie des cofondateurs de la start-up Mistral AI, au sein de laquelle il joue un rôle de conseiller.
Cédric O est enfin membre du conseil consultatif de haut niveau sur l’exploration spatiale de l’Agence Spatiale Européenne.
