Nora Berra est une femme politique française née à Lyon le 21 janvier 1963.
Après avoir suivi des études de médecine à Oran, en Algérie, elle débute sa carrière médicale à l’hôpital Edouard-Herriot de Lyon, comme interne en pharmacologie clinique. Elle poursuit sa carrière jusqu’en 2009, en occupant successivement des postes de praticien en exploration fonctionnelle rénale et de praticien au service d’immunologie clinique auprès de patients atteints du VIH. Les différentes recherches qu’elle a menées ont fait l’objet de plusieurs publications.
Parallèlement, en 2009, Nora Berra est élue députée européenne dans la circonscription Sud-Est, et est nommée secrétaire d’État chargée des Aînés quelques jours plus tard, puis secrétaire d’État chargée de la Santé du 14 novembre 2010 au 10 mai 2012.
En 2011, Nora Berra est invitée à Washington par Hillary Clinton pour intervenir à un colloque consacré aux femmes dans le service public, le Women in Public Service Project. Elle intervient dans le cadre d’une table ronde intitulée « Women at the top : changing decision making ».
