Diplômé de Sciences Po Paris et d’Harvard, et détenteur d’un doctorat obtenu à la Sorbonne, Dominique Moisi a enseigné à l’université d’Harvard, au Collège d’Europe, à l’École nationale d’administration, à l’École des hautes études en sciences sociales ainsi qu’à l’Institut d’études politiques de Paris.
Spécialiste des questions de géopolitique et de politique internationale, il connaît personnellement de nombreux chefs d’état. Il a occupé la chaire de géopolitique européenne au Collège de l’Europe à Natolin (Varsovie), et est l’auteur de plusieurs ouvrages, dont « Géopolitique de l’émotion » en 2008.
Chroniqueur aux Echos et à Ouest France, il signe également des articles pour The Financial Times, le New York Times, Die Welt, NRC Handelsblad et de nombreux autres périodiques de renom.
