Yves Thréard, né en 1960, est directeur adjoint de la rédaction et éditorialiste au Figaro depuis 2000.
Il commence sa carrière de journaliste au Dauphiné Libéré en 1984, avant de partir pour l’Afrique de l’Est (il couvre l’Ouganda, l’Ethiopie, le Soudan, la Somalie, la Tanzanie, le Rwanda, le Burundi, le Malawi, le Mozambique, Mauritius et Madagascar) où il est correspondant, notamment pour The Voice of America. De retour en France, il est grand reporter à France-Soir avant d’en prendre la rédaction de 1997 à 1999.
Depuis de nombreuses années, il participe régulièrement à plusieurs émissions audiovisuelles : RTL (On refait le Monde), iTélé (Galzi jusqu’à minuit), LCP (Politique Matin), France 5 (C dans l’air), France 2 (13H15 le dimanche). Depuis 2009, il enseigne à Sciences Po Paris.
