Sarah Severn est une experte reconnue en entreprise durable, transformation et innovation. Elle travaille à la pointe du marketing et de la publicité en occupant pendant 21 ans de hauts postes à responsabilité. Après treize ans dans l’industrie de la publicité, Sarah Severn rejoint l’équipe de management de marque de Nike en Europe pour mettre en place leur département d’observatoire des consommateurs. Une fervente passion pour les questions environnementales lui permet de changer de parcours en 1995 pour travailler au siège Nike World en Oregon en tant que directrice générale de l’équipe d’action environnementale. De 1995 à 2000, Sarah Severn permet l’entrée du durable dans la compagnie, de la chaîne logistique au design et à la manufacture du produit. Suite à cela, elle occupe un certain nombre de postes seniors dans les domaines de la responsabilité sociale des entreprises ou des entreprises durables, avec l’objectif particulier d’encourager l’engagement environnemental des différents acteurs et de les sensibiliser sur les problèmes à venir et le futur du travail.
En tant que directrice senior des partenariats au sein de l’équipe Entreprise Durable et Innovation (Sustainable Business & Innovation, SB&I), son dernier poste chez Nike, Sarah Severn est responsable des actions collectives au sein de l’unité des Systèmes d’Innovation. A ce titre, elle est à l’origine du développement de la stratégie de plaidoyer en faveur du changement climatique de Nike Inc et met en oeuvre la coalition BICEP (Business for Innovation Climate and Energy Policy) et le groupement d’entreprises ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals).
Mme Severn est membre du Comité du Washington Business for Climate Action, une équipe de direction composée d’hommes d’affaires de l’état de Washington dont la mission est de créer des opportunités pour éduquer, innover et plaider en faveur du climat et d’énergies qui satisfont les besoins d’une pluralité de secteurs d’activités.
En 2014, elle fonde Sarah Severn Consulting, une boîte de conseil sur le commerce durable, la transformation et l’environnement. Sarah est aussi membre du conseil administratif de l’American Sustainable Business Council et du comité consultatif du Forum for the Future US.
